Leading cyber security services and cyber threat management company Adarma has further strengthened its executive team with two new appointments, to further accelerate the business following a year of record growth.
Joanne Gilhooley joins the firm as Chief Marketing Officer, while Peter Carlisle takes the role of Chief Revenue Officer.
This is the latest in a series of hires with significant cybersecurity expertise to its’ boardroom in recent months, following the appointments of former Cisco Vice President John Maynard as CEO, ex-Altran CEO Dominique Cerutti as Chair and Gartner executive Cheryl Martin as Head of Security Consulting.
Joanne joins Adarma from Microsoft, where she was the Director of Marketing for the UK business, responsible for driving marketing for their commercial business through a period of growth and accelerated cloud adoption. With over 15 years’ experience in cybersecurity, Joanne previously led global marketing teams delivering sales training and enablement, product & field marketing and CXO executive marketing at HP, DXC Technology and Vistorm.
Peter has over 10 years in the cybersecurity market, having spent two and half years as Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Data Protection Solutions at Entrust. During his time there, he drove multi-year growth across key markets including India, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Prior to this, Peter has also had cybersecurity-focused sales roles at international tech giants HP and Dell. Peter will be charged with building the sales, alliances and routes to market and solutioning teams at Adarma to help organisations in the UK across the cyber threat lifecycle.
The series of appointments follows a record year of growth at the independent cybersecurity business, which has offices in Edinburgh and London. Revenues for the 2019 year hit £41m (the seventh year of consecutive double-digit growth) with further growth due to be reported for 2020, with Adarma now employing more than 300 staff and a significant number of open roles across the business.
