Adarma Achieves Carbon Neutral Status Ahead of Schedule
Adarma are thrilled to share that we have achieved carbon-neutral status in collaboration with Carbon Neutral Britain, surpassing our initial goal for 2025! This milestone underscores our commitment to sustainability and proactive climate action.
It has never been more important for businesses to step up and take account of the environmental impact associated with their operations. As leaders in detection and response services, designing, building, and managing cybersecurity services, we at Adarma, want to do our part for the environment and to provide complete transparency about our climate impact and resulting actions. This transparency is increasingly important for our customers, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders.
Our Journey to Carbon Neutrality
Our ambition has always been to achieve Carbon Neutral status, and we recognised that tracking and measuring our emissions against a baseline would be key to achieving this. In 2022, we began measuring our scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to identify our total carbon footprint. In December 2023, we engaged with Carbon Neutral Britain, one of the UK’s leading carbon offsetting providers, to measure and verify our carbon footprint and support us in offsetting our total company carbon emissions.
By July 2024, Carbon Neutral Britain completed a full audit of our scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and we became certified as a Carbon Neutral Business by offsetting our entire carbon footprint. This certification provides assurance that our carbon neutral claim is robust and credible, following calculation using the ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standard principles. By engaging with Carbon Neutral Britain, we will continue to be audited, our progress independently validated, and approved via the United Nations CER, Verra, and Gold Standard Mechanisms.
This achievement marks a key milestone in meeting our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) goals. We will look to implement further reduction strategies to maintain our carbon-neutral status while continually seeking opportunities to improve and engage with our supply chain.
